Printer Basics

There are just a few key points to follow for printers.

First, buy the right printer to ensure it will function correctly.

Some printers do not have the correct software on them to be supported by your system.

When setting up a printer verify you can print to it from your PC first.

Next determine how you want it setup on your system.

For most of your network printers a simple OUTQ will work just fine.

You can also configure network printers as Devices if required.

Creating a print device will also create it’s corresponding OUTQ.

If the printer is directly connected to a PC you will need to create a Printer Session.

The Printer Session will automatically create the print device and corresponding OUTQ.
